About Us

About The Greensboro Fat Tire Society

The members of the Greensboro Fat Tire Society are dedicated to the promotion and education of responsible mountain biking. Our members have come together to open new avenues (or trails) to the mountain biking community.

With an organized effort we hope to accomplish many goals. One major goal being to bring a positive attitude toward mountain biking in general by maintaining existing trails and developing new ones.

SORBA (Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association) is a member-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, officially chartered organization devoted to promoting land access, trail preservation, and new trail development in order to enhance mountain bike touring, racing, fun, and fellowship for all mountain bicyclists in the southeastern United States. We publish the “Trail News” four times a year to keep members informed of important issues and developments in the world of mountain biking. We hold our mountain bike events to raise awareness of land access and trail maintenance, to ride, to race, and to just have fun. Membership in SORBA entitles you to some great things, come join us!
