There is no on site parking. We'll be shuttling to/from the work site. Click the registration link for more info.

We have 1/2 mile of trail to build to connect the existing Kingfisher trail to the 3/4 mile of new trail that we've been building over the last several workdays. We need a large turnout to complete the job. Bring a friend!

This will be the last workday of 2017, let's make it the biggest and best of the year!

This is the workday everybody has been waiting for! Register now!

2017 Burn the Turkey group ride and potluck.

Meet at Burmill park on Saturday, November 25 starting at 9:30.

We'll be meeting at the shelter by the swimming pool. Look for the Fat Tire Society pop-up tent. There will be chili and drinks and probably other stuff too. If you want to bring something that would be great!

We will have riding groups for all skill levels and will regroup at the shelter after the ride for a potluck social.

Don't forget, we are collecting canned food goods as well as cash for the Second Harvest food bank. Here is a list of most needed items.

Kingfisher Trail Workday

Saturday December 9, 2017

Mark your calendars!

Thank You to all that came out for the Nov. 18 workday, we worked through another 1/4 mile of new trail!

We are working out the details of our next workday scheduled for Saturday December 9, 2017. Watch this space for details and plan to come out and work. This will be the last workday of 2017 and we are hoping to make it the biggest and best of the year!

Mark your calendars! Saturday October 14, 2017, the 1st Annual J.A. King (and Queen) of the Watershed is here. It's the first race of its kind in the Triad. Everyone from juniors to experts are welcome at this event.

This race will consist of 5 stages using the following trails: Blue Heron, Reedy Fork, Wild Turkey, Country Park, Owls Roost & Shady Side and Big Loop & Little Loop. The race loops will be timed and the sections leading to each trail will not be timed. Don't want to race all the segments? No problem. When you're done then head on back to John's house for food and fun.

The event will begin at the Blue Heron Trailhead parking lot off Yanceyville Rd. Shuttles will take riders and their bikes to the trailhead from John's house. There will be prizes for each segment as well as prizes for overall results. There will be a big party afterwards with food, beer and music. This event will be used as a fundraiser for the Piedmont Fat Tire Society. Come on out and have a great time.

Registration is open at https://www.webscorer.com/register?raceid=111045

Given the more private setting we do plan to give a brief update on the current happenings and future plans for the Piedmont Fat Tire Society. If you're looking to get more involved this will be an excellent opportunity to come meet some of the board and other active members .

Special thanks to Watts and Revolution Cycles for keeping the shop open to sell us beer!
