Join us on September 28th for the JAKing and Queen of the Watershed Mountain Bike Enduro Time Trial Stage Race! Sign up now for the early discount rates. We’ll up them as we get closer to race day. We also got racer feedback from last year and have made a few adjustments:
1- We guarantee water and good nutrition at every rest stop until the last racer comes through. 2- Juniors race for $10! Why? Because we love kids on bikes and we want more kids racing bikes.3- We’ve got a new category: Party Pace Group Ride: Just Ridin’ Along! No prizes here, and no competition. Just a fun group ride with party following to support the trails.
We’ll have the usual post ride party with food and refreshments, awards, etc.
Come out to Bur Mil Park for IMBA’s national Take a Kid MTB Day. We’ll have no drop rides for beginners and more advanced riders, and enjoy some great company with old and new friends. We’ll even hand out a few goodies.
FROM IMBA:”IMBA Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day (TKMBD) is an annual event that seeks to introduce the joy of mountain biking to the next generation. Created in 2004 and recognized by the U.S. Congress, TKMBD is officially celebrated every year on the first Saturday in October.
More than 100,000 youth have discovered and celebrated the joy of pedaling two wheels on dirt at TKMBD events, and many have gone on to become passionate riders, volunteer trail advocates and even high school mountain bike racers.
Events can be hosted by almost anyone in any country. Participating groups include IMBA chapters and affiliated mountain bike clubs, community organizations, scouting groups, youth programs, schools and others. Or, simply gather your family, friends and coworkers to host your own, backyard ride. Every #mountainbiker is invited to participate!”
