The IMBA 2015 Spring Membership Drive has begun. The Greensboro Fat Tire Society is an IMBA Chapter. When membership is associated with an IMBA chapter, that chapter receives a portion of each membership to directly support local and regional efforts. This is why it is important that you choose the GFTS as your local chapter when you join IMBA. Memberships and contributions help support new trails, bike parks, advocacy and land protection efforts.

Did you know: The GFTS maintains the 30+ miles of mountain bike trails we have in the Greensboro area? We not only maintain, but also designed and built most of those singletrack miles and are planning more miles to come. We work with the city, county and state as an advocate on behalf of all mountain bikers in the area. We also participate in events like National Trails Day and Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day. The annual Sizzler race is a GFTS event. The club also leads group rides that anybody can join and ride with friends old & new.

The 2015 Spring Membership Drive includes prize incentives from Scott Bicycles, Western Spirit Cycling, Specialized Bicycles and the Oskar Blues Brewing/REEB Ranch worth over $10,000. Anyone who registers with IMBA, joins, or renews their IMBA and/or IMBA chapter membership between March 1 and March 31, 2015, will be entered into a random drawing for either a Scott Genius 750 mountain bike or a VIP trip for two to the Burning Can Beer Festival at REEB Ranch in Brevard, N.C. Additional prize incentives will be offered as the spring membership drive continues through the Sea Otter Classic in April, wrapping up in May.

If you are not a GFTS/IMBA member, please join us. If you are a past member please rejoin us. If you are a current member, you can renew now to be eligible to win.

Join or renew—membership starts at just $30.

Read the fine print on the prizes, including all the ways to enter and sweepstake rules.

This Saturday we'll be hanging out at Revolution Cycles from 5-8pm. Everybody is welcome. Come by and hang out with us. We can talk about bikes, trails, GFTS, beers, people that aren't there...

I've set up a GFTS email list to improve communication to the Triad area Mountain Biking community we serve. That's all of you folks!

The initial emails we send will be short, and to the point.  Hopefully, they'll get better as we learn what people want to hear from the club and we improve our ability to communicate. We won't cover you up with constant emails.

The signup form has check boxes for you to tell us what interests you have, to help us learn what you want to hear about. The only required field is your email address. We kinda need to have that.

Don't be afraid to sign up. Press the big red button below. Do it now.

We look forward to getting this ball rolling.

See you on the trails! (As soon as they open)

Matt
