Thanks again for all your help.

Work Day Information

Where: Owls Roost Trail

We will be cutting a new trail loop and rerouting a short section near the new bridge.

The work site is at the far end of the trail at the greenway from Bur-mill park. It's best if you ride your bike from Bur-mill down the greenway to the far end of the trail.   If you are not sure how to get to the work site.Someone will be at the  Bur-mill Club Wildlife Ed. Center at 8:00 am until 8:30 am.

Bring your work gloves.

We will Start at 8:30am until 4:30pm. Feel free to stop by anytime and help.

WE NEED YOU TO ATTEND !

For YEARS we have wanted to have quality trails in the south part of Guilford County!

Right now there is a critical opportunity to make it happen. But we need you to participate or it just won't happen.

There is a public input meeting on new property attached to Hagan Stone Park on this Monday. This meeting is critical! The current "plan" is to give Mt. Biker's access to about 25 acres of scrub pine forest and have the remaining 250 acres be "hiking only" trails.

This property was acquired with open space bond money which at the time stated multi purpose trails would be allowed. I've made several phone calls and will be attending the meeting to provide input on how unacceptable this current plan is to the GFTS. However, we MUST have as many mt. bikers as possible attend or the current plan will become a reality.

Even if you don't care about riding on the south side of town this is a precedent that is very bad for mt. biking in Guilford County.

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO ATTEND AND BE HEARD!

When: Next Monday at 6 PM
Where: Camp Joy Building 5920 Hagan-Stone Park, Pleasant Garden
