A room full of monkeys has been hard at work cranking out a new look for the Greensboro fat Tire Society website.  Look around the homepage and you'll see the latest news from the club, info on trail conditions, links to trail info and maps and ways to connect to other riders on Bike Triad and Facebook as well as a new events calendar.  In the next year we want to continue to improve the site to best serve the Greensboro cycling community.  If you have great photos or videos of Greensboro trails, or if you have suggestions on how we can improve this site please let us know.

The Greensboro Watershed Trails Guide has been updated for 2014.  Download a copy now or pick one up at your local bike shop.

We will be working on the first Phase of Kingfisher trail which is a one mile loop. We believe if we get good turnouts we can complete this mile in 3 workdays and be able to open the trail for use in the end of March.

What: We will be doing finishing work on the tread created by David Meredith master of the machine. We will also be doing rock armoring.
Where: 4953 Yanceyville Road - (Where the Blue Heron trail currently ends at Yanceyville Road.)
When: Saturday morning between 8:30AM-4:30PM. Can only work for a few hours? No problem come anytime in that window to help. If we get rained out on Saturday will have make-up on Sunday.
Why: Cause sweet singletrack only comes from your effort.
Who: You that's who! Bring a riding buddy too!

FAQ's:
What do I need to bring?
Work gloves, sturdy work shoes, plenty of water and a snack are recommended.

If you would like to help out, please contact us so we can bring the appropriate amount of tools.

Our annual meeting is set for Thursday, February 9 at 7:00 pm, The Loft at
Natty Greene's. As always, we encourage everyone to make use of the
restaurant facilities on the first and 2nd floors prior to the meeting
time. Natty's asks that no food be ordered from the Loft itself. We will
have our own bartender and it happens to be $3.00 Beer Night as well!

This is the time to express any and all ideas, concerns, opinions
concerning the FTS. We have a BIG year ahead of us and the club structure
will continue to coalesce into a stronger organization with each passing
day, with all your help. Be there, become part of this amazing movement
growing in the Triad!
