What: Sunday Group Ride

Where: Lake Norman Visitor’s Center

When: Sunday 2/28/2016 @ 1:00 pm

OK, let's do a little road trip this week. LNSP is showing a little less rain than GSO along with the winds it should be dry by midday Sunday. If not, we will reroute (possibly Uwharrie, Maybe local?).

Keep an eye on the invite over the weekend.

Meeting at the new visitors center. Link to LNSP map.

This ride is for all riders of all skill levels. It is intended to be a fun, social ride for all. We won’t leave anyone behind and will stop as needed. If you want to ride ahead, that’s OK. Faster riders are always welcome to lead up front. Stuff to bring: Mountain bike, in working order, helmet, water, tube or patch kit, snack.

As always, if the trails are closed, we aren't riding.

Come join us for the annual Burn the Turkey group ride and potluck.

Meet at Bur-Mill Park on Friday, November 23 @ 9:30AM. Shelter # 1 is reserved for the event (across the parking lot from the pool).

This event is free and open to everyone. We will have multiple riding groups for each skill level. Everyone will regroup after the ride at the shelter for a potluck social.

Stay tuned for more details.

2017 Burn the Turkey group ride and potluck.

Meet at Burmill park on Saturday, November 25 starting at 9:30.

We'll be meeting at the shelter by the swimming pool. Look for the Fat Tire Society pop-up tent. There will be chili and drinks and probably other stuff too. If you want to bring something that would be great!

We will have riding groups for all skill levels and will regroup at the shelter after the ride for a potluck social.

Don't forget, we are collecting canned food goods as well as cash for the Second Harvest food bank. Here is a list of most needed items.

We will meet at the Trek Store Greensboro at 9:00am to drive up to the trails and should arrive at Moore's Springs shortly after 10:00am.

Be sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, tubes, etc.  Helmets are required.

Ride time and distance will be determined by the group, but plan to ride for a couple hours.  Trails are intermediate in difficultly with more sustained climbs and descents than what you will find in Greensboro.
